Terms of Booking
Holiday Contract - Our contract with you is made when you or your Travel Agent
asks for your holiday booking to be confirmed. All bookings are made on the basis of
these core terms, relevant information and the details on your invoice.
1. The property and land known as (the villa/property) is offered for holiday rental subject to confirmation by (the owner/agent) to the renter (the client).
2. To reserve the property the client must complete the booking enquiry form on the website and send a cheque or other method of payment as a non-refundable deposit. Following receipt of the booking form and deposit, the owner/agent will send a confirmation invoice. This is the formal acceptance of the booking.
3. The balance of the rent, including security deposit, is payable not less than eight weeks before the start of the rental period. If payment is not received by the due date, the owner/agent reserves the right to give notice by email or in writing that the reservation is cancelled. The client will remain liable to pay the balance of the rent unless the owne/agent is able to re-let the property. Reservations made within eight weeks of the start of the rental period, require full payment at the time of booking.
4. Any chargeable expenses arising during the rental period (e.g. telephone calls or agreed optional extras) shall be settled locally with the owner or by deduction from the security deposit.
5. A variable security deposit per booking is required in case of damage to the property or its contents. However the sum reserved by this clause shall not limit the client liability to the owner/agent. The owner/agent will account to the client for the security deposit and refund the balance due within two weeks after the end of the rental period.
6. Subject to clause 2 above, in the event of cancellation, refund of amounts paid will be made if the owner/agent is able to re-let the property, and any expenses or losses incurred in so doing will be deducted from the refundable amount. The client is strongly recommended to arrange comprehensive travel insurance (including cancellation cover) and to have full cover for the party's personal belongings, public liability, etc., since these are not covered by the owner`s insurance.
7. The rental period shall commence at 12.00 on the first day and finish at 12.00 on the last day of the rental period. The owner/agent shall not be obliged to offer the accommodation before the time stated and the client shall not be entitled to remain in occupation after the time stated.
8. The maximum number to reside in the property must not exceed the total number specified on the booking enquiry form, unless the owner/agent has given written permission [email acceptable].
9. The client agrees to be a considerate tenant and to take good care of the property and to leave it in a clean and tidy condition. At the end of the rental period, the owner reserves the right to make retention from the security deposit to cover additional cleaning costs if the client leaves the property in an unacceptable condition. The client also agrees not to act in any way, which would cause disturbance to those residents in neighbouring properties.
10. The client shall report to the owner/agent without delay, any defects in the property, any damage done to the property by the client or any breakages in the machinery, contents or appliances of the property, so that arrangements for repair and/or replacement can be made as quickly as possible.
11. The owners shall not be liable to the client. For any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services neither to the property, nor in respect of any equipment, machinery or appliance in the property. For any loss, damage or injury, which is the result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes or any other matters beyond the owner's control. For any loss, damage or inconvenience caused to, or suffered by the client, if the property should be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period and in such event, the owner shall within seven days of notification to the client, refund to the client all sums previously paid in respect of the rental period.
12. Under no circumstances shall the owner's/agents liability to the client exceed the amount paid to the owner/agent for the rental period. This contract shall be governed by Greek law in every particular including formation and interpretation and shall be deemed to have been made in Greece. Any proceedings arising out of or in connection with this contract may be brought in any court of competent jurisdiction in Heraklion - Crete, Greece.
13. We act as referral/booking agents for the owners of the accommodation (the Owner(s)). We accept no liability in relation to any contract you enter into for the accommodation or for any services or arrangements you purchase (arrangements) or for the acts or omissions of any Owner or supplier(s) or other person(s) or party (ies) connected with any arrangements. For all arrangements, your contract will be with the Owner. We/the Owner reserve the right to refuse a booking without giving any reason.
1. Bookvillasingreece.com reserve the right to control the wording, layout, photograph sizes and all other factors of advertisements in accordance with the standard design format of the website. Photographs will be produced as clearly as possible in accordance with the colour rendering and tone of the original supplied.
2. Bookvillasingreece.com reserve the right to refuse an advertisement without explanation and will not be held liable for any consequential expense by the advertiser. All documents and payment will be returned.
3. Bookvillasingreece.com will try to accurately reproduce all advertisements but cannot be held responsible for any loss resulting from errors or omissions.
4. All advertisers will be asked to view the website upon completion and your acceptance will be construed if we do not hear from you.
5. Bookvillasingreece.com will take all due care and and diligence in protecting and safeguarding all information and materials supplied for the preparation of advertisements, but cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage howsoever caused.
6. In the case of any factors outside our control which delays publication of the web page/s the advertiser may not claim damages and agrees not to contest payment.
7. Bookvillasingreece.com reserve the right, with due notice being given, to visit and inspect properties featured in the advertisement.
8. Bookvillasingreece.com require that all advertisers provide the highest quality of service to their clients, from the initial telephone enquiry, to dealing with bookings and providing information, to the courteous handling of complaints. In particular we assume that advertisers have made adequate provisions to service and clean the property between lets and to have a line of communication with their clients in case of emergency.
9. The advertiser accepts that Bookvillasingreece.com may publish advertisements and charge for advertisements even though signed proofs have not been returned; failure to return signed proofs does not constitute a request to cancel the advertisement and booking conditions will apply. The majority of consultation will be via email.
10. Advertisements ordered verbally or in writing must be cancelled in writing. Cancelled advertisements will be subject to the above charges (section4). Similarly advertisements placed directly by the customer on the site, have the same cancellation procedures.
11. The Terms and Conditions of the contract are construed in accordance with Greek Law and are subject to the courts of Greece.
12. Bookvillasingreece.com reserve the right to remove any advertisement from our website, if an advertiser is not acting in accordance with acceptable practice.
Property Booking Management from Bookvillasingreece.com
Bookvillasingreece.com, will undertake the advertising and bookings of your villa on the above website - you can request this option during checkout.
A copy of all bookings taken will be forwarded to the villa owner and the relevant cheques would be payable to the villa owner.
It is the villa owner`s responsibility to ensure that their housekeeper/cleaner are aware of all the changeovers and the linen/laundry/cleaning/rentors requirements are met.
In order to ensure that we have all available information we will need contact telephone numbers for the rentors (arrival/emergency), together with any special Terms and Conditions you may have for your own specific property.
A full description of how to get too the property upon arrival in each destination and the name and contact telephone nos. of the person responsible for meeting the guests and showing them around the property. In addition, the same procedure applies for departure.

If You Cancel Your Holiday
You or any member of your party may cancel your booking, or part of it, once it has
been confirmed, but the instructions will only be valid if put in writing and signed by
the person who made the booking i.e. the lead name on the booking. These written
instructions should go either to the Travel Agent you booked with, asking them to
notify us immediately, or, if you booked direct, to us. To compensate us for the
expense of processing your booking and for the risk that we may not be able to resell
the holiday, we charge a cancellation fee on the scale shown below. The amount
payable (by whoever confirmed the booking) depends on when we receive your
written instructions - the more notice you give, the less we will charge.
