GENERAL INFO

The villa well respecting the islands architectural history and tradition, consists of a combination of them both alongside with a modern approach, keeping the basic constructive rhythm which made Spetses famous for its aristocratic style.
Located within a spot on a hill full of pine trees, will satisfy even the most demanding by combining a high quality sense of aesthetic and equivalent facilities and services but also everything a place would need to be considered as unique: amazing view towards all directions of the horizon, peace and calm of the mountain, autonomy and relaxation close to the sea breeze.

The villa is situated in the north west of the town of Spetses which is called Kokkinaria, an area on a hill of approximately 150 m height, full of pine trees and well known for its unique view and its calm ambiance. Here, within an area of 4.5 hectares surface, the villa is surrounded by special designed outdoor spots and gardens which include kiosks, swimming pool of extra large dimensions (15m x 7m), exterior massage bed corner etc.
Being a brand new luxury resort, a lot of attention was given to the style, on the one hand, to combine a rather modern approach of what we use to call traditional and, on the other, to promote the simplicity of what we call luxury, based on the selection of the building and decorative materials. The most common amongst them are the oak used on the house floors and the kitchens, the marble, the stone and the wood used for the outdoor constructions but also the luxury of the bathrooms consisted of design bath items and mosaic murano.

LOCATION

The town of Spetses is under a preservation order, and includes many listed buildings. It is for this reason that the archaeological authorities placed a ban on the use of private cars in all areas between Agia Marina in the east, and the old Anargyreio and Korialenio College in the west. The most commonly used modes of transport are mopeds and bicycles, and there are two bus routes, covering the coastal road of the town in both directions from the town centre, and some of the outer-lying areas. There are also taxis for hire (a total of 4), plus a large number of horse-drawn buggies. Of course, the picturesque side-streets and alley-ways are always a joy to stroll down.
Alternatively, if your destination is close to the water, there are many water taxis, and some kaikis (traditionally-built wooden boats). During the summer months, the part of the sea road which passes through the town is off-limits to private motorised vehicles of all kinds from 18:30 until 02:OO.The relevant sign-posts can be found at the entrance to all streets leading to the forbidden area.

Beaches

Beaches on Spetses are divided into those which are in the town, and those in the outer-lying districts. To reach the beaches out of town, there are kaikis leaving the Dapia everyday at around 11.30am -12pm, or when they are full, whichever comes first! There is also a reliable bus -service which runs two routes, one leaving from the Town Beach (Agios Mammas) and going east all the way to Agia Paraskevi, and the other leaving from the Posseidonion Hotel on the Dapia which goes west as far as Vrellou Beach. Both the town beaches and the more distant beaches have good facilities on-hand, and with the larger ones offering tavernas and water sports, making for rest and relaxation from the morning to the night. There are also some smaller, more secluded and quiet beaches around the islands coast-line, which can be reached by various modes of transport, but by far the best of those are the ones which you may only discover and approach by sea.

* College Beach (also known as Kaiki Beach). At the north-west end of town, it is fully equipped, with beds and umbrellas and a bar, plus a wide range of water-sports.

* Kounoupitsa. Agios Nikolas and Agios Mammas (also known as Town Beach),are all found within the confines of Spetses town and can be easily reached on foot.

* Agia Marina, a well-equipped, much-frequented beach, at the south -eastern edge of the island is situated in a tree-clad bay, and offers water sports, as well as a restaurant and beach-bar.

* Agious Anargyrous, also well-equipped and much-frequented, this pebble beach, in a pine-clad bay, offers similar facilities to Agia Marina, as far as food and water-fun are concerned, plus the famed Bekiris Cave, a natural sight worth seeing.

* Agia Paraskevi is close to Anargyri, and also has many visitors taking advantage of the beds and umbrellas. There are pine trees reaching right down the beach, and among them nestle a small, beautiful church, and a taverna.
* Kouzounos is on the south-eastern side of Spetses, opposite from Spetsopoula.

* Xylokeriza. Organised beach to the south of the island.

*Kamares. In a well-hidden bay on the western side of Spetses.

* Zogheria. Twin, north-facing bays, with pine trees down to the waters edge and a lovely taverna.

* Vrellos, to the north-west, now boasts an exotic beach bar with music for fun among the pines.

* Ligoneri also north-west, but smaller and quieter, here an enormous plane tree provides the shade instead of umbrellas.

Museums

Spetses boasts two significant museums, both well worth visiting. There is the 300 year-old Mansion of Bouboulina, (22980 72416) the historic home of Laskarina Bouboulina. In its beautiful environs, visitors are treated to the stirring tale of one of the most famed figures of the Greek Revolt against the Turks. Surrounded by Laskarinas own personal belongings, pistols from that time, collections of porcelain/china, Byzantine icons, a likeness of her legendary ship the Agamemnon, you may find yourself transported back to those dangerous and thrilling times. Another high point is the sitting room with the exquisite wood-carved Venetian ceiling, furnished with pieces dating back to the 17th century.www.bouboulinamuseum-spetses.gr.
