LOCATION

Messinia is prefecture of Greece which is in the southwest Peloponnese. Bounded to the north from the river Neda and Arkadika Mountains, east of Mount Taygetus to the south by the Messinian Gulf and west from the Ionian Sea. It borders in the north with the prefecture of Ilia, in the northeast with the prefecture of Arcadia and east to Laconia prefecture.

Petalidi (4 km)

Petalidi is purchasing centre to direct the region, supermarkets, ovens, butcher shops, etc, many cafes, pastry shops, barbecues. It has a health centre, pharmacy, post office, National - ATM-, Rural - ATM-bank and police station.

During the journey Petalidi - Koroni are there many small and big beautiful beaches (Kalamaki, Chelonarias, St. Andrea, Voonaria, Koroni, etc.)

Koroni (25 kms)

Koroni is a picturesque town with narrow streets and steps leading to the castle. The castle houses a unique monastery, small churches, a very beautiful church of the 13 th century St. Sofia, and offers lovely views over the bay from the gate. On the beach are dozens of restaurants and cafes.

Methóni (40 kms)
