Traditional Cretan House

With much personal work and respect she transformed it into an exceptionally tasteful guesthouse, which retains the essential benefits of the old house.

The freshness, the wonderful view towards all directions of the horizon, the light, the relaxing twilight, the well-kept garden with the vegetables and the fruit-bearing trees. She also arranged the indoor spaces in a new way that ensures privacy without affecting the original layout of the house, she had a swimming pool made in the relaxing garden and took care to provide all the facilities that a demanding visitor asks for...

And, since it is the people who give houses their features, the property is ready to offer its hospitality in a way that grandmother and grand-daughter have achieved. With neatness, kindness and care.

The guesthouse comprises two autonomous houses.

Each house has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen and a living room and can host up to five people.

There is a TV (nova), internet (wired and wireless), a fully equipped kitchen, a radio, a fireplace, autonomous heating (radiators), hot water, books and table games.

At the guesthouse yard, there is a garden with the season's vegetables, a swimming pool, a barbecue, a car park and access for people with special needs.

There is also a reception and an outdoor WC. Cleaning person comes to the guesthouse twice a week.

The property is located in a small traditional village in the Municipality of Geropotamos at Rethymno, Crete. The village overlooks two streams. Towards the east in the distance, it faces Kouloukonas Mountain and towards the south are the peaks of Psiloreitis.

Moreover, after a five-minute walk in nature, visitors arrive at the heaven of Sotiras Christos and Agios Gedeon Monastery and the traditional village of Margarites, where the art of pottery blossoms.

The archaeological sites of Eleftherna and the Monastery of Arkadi are very close if you go by car. However, apart from the walks, what visitors should let themselves feel is the sense of serenity and freedom that this place gives off.
