Traditional stone-built Villa

Experience unique holidays for all seasons in two traditional, independent, stone-built apartments that date back to 1810. The apartments were artfully restored in 2003, always with respect towards the traditional Cretan architecture.

Specialized architects, decorators and experienced workers worked zestfully so as to create a space that offers our guests privacy, as well as the opportunity to experience relaxing holidays. This place offers a real trip back in time, with the simultaneous provision of all modern comforts.

The idea of the proprietor to create the property is based on the necessity for ameliorating standardized tourist services. Thus, the villa was constructed on an estate that lies in the village Roustika, a traditional, historical village, one of the most beautiful in Crete, where edifices from the Venetian era are still preserved.

The property is situated at an altitude of 300 metres from sea level, in the middle of the prefecture of Rethymnon. The advantage of this location is that there is easy access both to the north axis of the island, where the towns Rethymnon (at an 20-kilometer distance), Heraklion and Chania lie, and to the southern axis (Libyan Sea) with the superb, wind-protected beaches of Plakias, Moni Preveli, Damnoni, Ammoudi etc. at a distance of 15 kilometre from the area.

The arrangement of the edifice facilitates the unified use of both apartments.

- Each apartment has its own courtyard, as well as terraces with unhindered view. The eye travels through the green of the perennial trees, relaxing with the breathtaking, distant view over the mountain chain of "Lefka Ori" and the Cretan Sea.

An outdoors swimming pool (5m x 10m), as well as barbecue facilities are at your disposal.

The house cleaning, as well as the air-conditioning are included in the price.
Moreover, breakfast can be served upon request. Moreover, our cook is available.
For the aforementioned services, there is an extra charge.

First Villa: 65 m2

Two traditional bedrooms (wooden sleeping lofts) with
one double bed and two single, that have blinds for visual privacy.
Two bathrooms, one with a bathtub and one with a shower.
Spacious sitting room with fireplace (arches, wooden ceiling)

Fully furnished kitchen (4 hotplates and big Furnace) for use by our guests: washing machine, dishwasher,
coffee machine, kettle , big oven, absorber,
electric cooker and fridge.
The rooms are fully air-conditioned.
There are satellite -TV, CD-player, hair-drier and telephone facilities, a baby bed and baby chair is also available.
The apartment is appropriate for families or a company of 4 persons.

The change of sheets and towels take place three times a week .

Second Villa: 100 m2

Two double-bed bedrooms with a double bed and two single beds each on the first floor.
A double-bed bedroom with a double bed on the ground floor.
Three bathrooms with a shower.
Sitting room with fireplace.
Dining room, kitchen equipped for breakfast and snacks.

Location

Roustika are ideal for mountain - biking and mountaineering through superb gorges of abundant vegetation: European track E4.
There are some excellent short routes (15-30 min. by car) such as the ancient town of Lappa, Argiroupolis, the lake Kournas, Moundros, all of which are of unique natural beauty.

After a tiring but pleasant day, your stay at the traditional Cretan taverns and cafes are really compensating.

During the summer, many traditional festivals take place in the nearby regions. Our guests have the opportunity to experience traditional Cretan music and dancing.

The property is ideal for families or friends, recommended for high-standard, peaceful and relaxing holidays both in the winter and in the summer.

Car rental is strongly recommended.
